Sephora is a girl on a budget’s worse nightmare.
I’ve been avoiding my obsession with all things beauty related– hair products, cosmetics and skin care– for at least two years in an effort to avoid splurging, however,  I recently stumbled upon a  lowkey Sephora that was pretty close to where I live and I’ve been hooked ever since.
Let’s just say I became a VIB member after my first visit. The obsession is real.
Here’s some new things I’ve added to my girlie bag:
Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb perfume (This scent is uber sexy for date night. I’ve always wondered if Wale and Miguel’s Lotus Flowerbomb song was inspired by this scent. It’s a must have. )
Gucci Guilty Black perfume (another sexy scent. This might become my signature)
Make up Forever High Definition Primer (a complexion corrector that deeply nourishes, moisturizes, and softens the skin, creating a glowing effect. I use this before I apply foundation so that it goes on more smoothly.  Sidenote: In the summer, I can’t be bothered with foundation, so I normally just go for a powder like MAC Studio fix and keep it moving.)
Bobbi Brown BB Cream – Right now I really am trying to understand this whole BB cream craze. It’s suppose to nourish the skin, while protecting it from the sun and also brighten the skin over time. So far I am not exactly sure how to use it nor am I impressed. I’ll look more into it and review it in the coming weeks.
Stila After Glow lip colors in Vivid Violet and Electric Pink – I thought I was going to be a MAC girl forever but these lip colors contain way more moisture then any of the MAC lip shades I’ve ever used, they leave your lips soft and they have a ton of pigment. I’m sold.
Urban Decay Vintage Glide On Pencils – I think these are for the eyes but I definitely bought them to wear with my Stila lip shades. I love the way they glide on. From my experience with MAC, the pencils and lip shades are sometimes too dry.
Urban Decay SMOKED Palette – I’m the most excited about this purchase because not only did it come with an amazing case, 10 amazing eye shades, an eyeliner and eyeshadow primer, it also includes a booklet that gives very detailed instructions on how to achieve a variety of smokey eyed looks using the colors in the palette. #Winning!
Beauty Blender Sponge – This darn thing is 20 bucks!!!! I can’t really tell you if I think it’s worth it but it definitely helps blend foundation well.
I should be doing reviews on some of my new purchases in the coming weeks. Trust me, playing in beauty products gives me a nice little break from the entertainment/gossip stories and it’s so much fun!
Have you made any beauty purchases that you are excited about lately??
