For the past few years, I’ve heard the line, “You have amazing skin!!” every time I sat in a makeup chair with a clean, cosmetic-free face. I’ve never really grasped the concept of “good or amazing skin” but I’m assuming it means smooth, with no acne, noticeable scars or huge pores. I’ve never had an issue with black heads either (Thank God!!!)
I can probably think my father for my smooth, blemish free skin, but I believe my drug-store skin care regimen helps as well. Ever since I was 16 years old, I’ve faithfully had the same beauty regimen. Every morning in the shower, I’d use St. Ives Apricot Scrub, followed by Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. The two combined comes to about 8 bucks at Walgreens, Rite-Aid or CVS.
Just a few years ago, I also added Peter Roth’s Unwrinkle Eye eye cream to my daily regimen after I heard actress Meagan Good mention it in an interview. I assumed it worked well since she is known for her amazing skin too!
This year, I am going to switch it up a bit and start trying some new products, so I’ll be posting those up soon with a review.
If you have any recommends, drop them in the comments!
xo
I love MURAD products!! Keeps me flawless 😉
i´ve been trying to find a great face wash any suggestions ?
Murad is the shit.
Aveeno facial cleanser or that clean and clear morning burst scrub, then some clean and clear morning glow moisturizer or some st.ives collagen elastin facial moisturizer <3..all cheap drug store sh*t..but it works! For me anyways 🙂
I use apricot scrub, or my old favorite Noxema.
That St. Ives broke the god all the way out. I had to let that go.
I just wash my face and put nivea cream on my face, but i think i need a new one cause im starting to break out a little for some reason :/
http://www.skinmedica.com Its not only the best, its also effective and REALLY works. After 25 yrs old our skin cells go on a vacation. Which means we must use products that will encourage them to keep turning over! I LOVE my acne kit, tns recovery, lytera, and retinol!!!! Natalie Melendez
Necole I use Clarins cosmetics products. Cottonseed cleanser, camomile toner & hydra quench moisturizer. The products are amazing! I have my mother to thank for my great skin as well but I see even more of a difference now that I´m using Clarins 🙂
oatmeal and honey scrub by queen helena…=D love it
Btw the gentle exfoliator w/ orange extract is great as well & all their products are plant based.

I want to use more organic/natural products for my skin this year. I already use organic products for my hair so going all the way…
I have sensitive combination skin so I need something that will not irritate my skin
Laura Mercier Flawless Skin scrub almost everyday. Cetaphil daily facial cleanser at night and in the morning. Eucerine face lotion everyday. and a little Vaseline at night and in the am. I sometimes use Josie Maran’s argan oil…but I have a tiny bottle that I received with a glam bag.
Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser & ambi beauty bar followed nutrogena even clear moisturizer…
Yeah I started using Peter Roth too after I heard Meagan mention it.
Ambi´s black soap
I wash my face with dove soap and use the natural shea butter I stocked up on in Ghana. I make my own avocado facial mask once a week

I use St Ives apricot scrub and shea butter as a moisturizer.
I have been using the Apricot scrub and Neutrogena for years too. No expensive products needed!
Oil cleansing method…. I use olive oil or grapeseed oil. Leave on for 10 min then rinse. If you have dark spots add some honey or lemon.
Oil cleansing method. I use olive/grapeseed oil and leave on for 10 min. Add lemon/honey for dark spots.
Biotin pills and lots of water..also avon renew products

A splash of water and a dab of OBAGI CLEAR, and I´m out the door…it´s a bit pricey, but well worth it…I haven´t found a better overall skin evener…
Also, I forgot to say, with this product, I no longer use moisturizer or foundation…so while its pricey, I save a ton on not buying those!
Purity cleanser & Hope In a Jar moisturizer by Philosophy keep my skin flawless & radiant. U can´t go wrong with any of their products!
thanks for sharing 🙂
I love SheaMoisture black soap, I love oil cleansing, I moisturize with Simple moisturizer with SPF in it, and I treat hyperpigmentation with Ambi fade cream
Mash a whole, cold avocado, a teaspoon of brown sugar, and add a squirt of lemon juice. mix well. Viola!the avocado will act as a really good moisturizer and the coldness will take away any swelling you may have, while the acid in the lemon juice will help fight breakouts. The brown sugar will act as an exfoliate to remove dead skin cells.
I use the Clearasil daily clear oil-free daily face wash (non-drying) with the daily clear wipes. I usually wash my face first then use the wipes. I also use coco butter lotion for my face, but I recently started using Euricine SPF 15 daily moisturizing lotion. It helps to keep your pores from being blocked. You can also check for different SPF’s. They have 15 and 30. I too am going to start using the Peter Roth eye cream.
Soap & water lol
I never had pimples, blemishes, skin discoloration, black or white heads, noticeable pores my skin is smooth and even toned. I have used Organic Black Soap since 1980, I added Dhealthstore’s Beauty Oil and Facial Beauty Cream. One thing I must say is never let anyone touch your face trust me on that no lipstick/chapstick kisses either it can ruin your skin i’ve seen it the results disastrous. That is the key 🙂
I used to swear by St. Ives apricot scrub. Went to esthetics school and my instructor said to stay far away from it. Said the seeds used actually tear the skin. Mind you, my skin was good before this information and five years after finishing school, my skin is just now getting back to a level I was used to.
Moral of the story, use what works for you no matter what others have to say, licensed or not.
Current regimen is exfoliate in am w/salicylic face wash and scrubbing pad, tone with witch hazel. For moisturizer, Neutrogena Rapid Tone Repair day & night formula. The day is great b/c it has SPF and doesn’t leave face greasy.
I use Cetaphil products along with my Clarasonic. I started using that after seeing Halle Berry & Bianca Lawson (who never ages) use them & they work great. I also use La Mer creme once a week.
Ever since middle school, I have used Clinique faithfully. Never had any issues with blemishes, breakouts, etc… About a couple years ago, I started to get these random pimples and blackheads… so annoying! I just recently turned 30 and have had a few of my older friends tell me it could be “adult acne” *sigh* So anyways long story short, I have switched up my routine a lil and have begun using Neutrogena along with some of my old Clinique faves. I do agree that what might work on A, may not work on B. Do what works for you. But I am always searching for a great product! I’m currently looking for a moisturizer with SPF in it, that doesn’t break the bank. Any suggestions would be great! 🙂
