I’ve always been uncomfortable with being comfortable. I move often. City to city. People always ask, “Why are you always running? What are you running from?” I never felt as though I was running from anything, however, I am constantly running TOWARDS something.
My dreams.
And I will keep running, until I accomplish them.
It’s about perspective.
I’ve learned:
It’s hard to grow when you are confined to the idea that others have of you, versus what you want for yourself.
It’s alright to break the rules and make new ones.
If there isn’t a blueprint for what you want to do, create one.
Your dreams may be bigger than the box that people may want to put you in. Don’t let that discourage you!
Your faith has to be stronger than your fear
It’s up to you to take charge, and go for what you want, versus waiting for it to come to you.
Never Settle

I can relate. As a retired Air Force brat, “running” has always been in my DNA. Or at least, that’s what I blame it on. I can’t get comfortable in a place because I know in due time, my bags will be packed and I’ll be on a plane or highway to somewhere else. This was the same case when it came to jobs until my career chose me. Now we’re running together. =)
A quote by Myles Munroe saved me from the feeling that I was always running. “Vision can constantly keep you unsettled. When you keep company with God, you have to keep moving; it keeps you from becoming stagnant.”
Now I know why I stay on the go: Vision & Purpose.
Keep going after your dreams, Necole.
