When I have to go to an event, photo shoot or anything on camera, my staple look is, the smokey eye, nude or pink lip and two pair of lashes :). No matter who does my make up (Terrell Mullin (pictured above) in LA, or Porsche Cooper in NY), I always ask for “a smokey, pink lip and don’t forget to contour my cheek bones”).

Lipglosses: Smashbox Limitless, MAC underage, MAC Amplepink, MAC Fold and Tuck (my absolute fav). Don’t forget the MAC pink liner or cork liner.
Eye Shadow: MAC Smokey eye palette (see photo below)..paired with black eyeliner and black liquid liner.
Concealer & Foundation: I swear by Kevin Aucoin concealer and Cinema Secrets Foundation Palette Kit #3
Powders: For contouring and also getting rid of shine: I use MAC mineral powders and studio Fix
Blush: (All MAC) Breezy, SunBasque, Coppertone, Sweat As Cocoa and Peaches
Quick Note: I have a lot of MAC products because I always ask my make up artists what they are using on me and then I buy it to replicate the look but I am really a fan of Bobbi Brown.
Thanks to Porsche I have over 15 make up brushes (that I don’t know how to use) but my favorites are the Don King foundation brushes. I have the baby one and the big one. The other brush, I use to apply concealer.Do you have a staple look?
I myself have a staple look and was just thinking about it before I saw this article .. must be a virgo thing .. Mine is Purple eyeshadow, lined eyes , and mascara .. no matter what Im wearing, with nude, to light gold lips !! Even when I try to do something differnt .. Im pulled right back , lol ! Necole you rock and thats that 🙂

I love to have rosy cheeks when stepping out..and I try to only use a bit of tinted moisturizer (LOVE Bobbi Brown’s) for a natural but even covered face
One thing I haven’t figured out yet is the lip. My mother also loved her cherry red lipstick. I’ve tried different lip colors but still cant find that “staple”. 🙁
My staple look consists of lashes, a winged black liner, blush, pink to plum lips and a nice bronzer! Everything I use is MAC because I got hooked on them in highschool and havent been able to quit since!
Sadly, some of these products were limited edition and have been discontinued. But Sweet as Cocoa and Breezy are definitely staples for me.
My staple look consists of Big long lashes, black eye liner im totally obsessed with pink, so i have a bright pink lip my fave is (show orchid), or a nude pink lip and ill wear ample pink on top which is my fave baby pink gloss..and blusher..im totally obsessed with Mac im actually scared to try other brands.
I’m too scared to try lashes! I feel as if I’m going to mess up my eyes or something.
But I heavily use Loreal’s Voluminous, which isn’t MAC, but it’s amazing and actually holds my lashes up. People always ask if I’m wearing fake lashes. I use Stila’s waterproof eyeliner and it does wonders! I typically only wear foundation if my skin is blotchy or acting a fool. I use Loreal’s lipstick, number 129 (Beyond Blushing) and their foundation, C7 (Nut Brown). Never tried MAC products because I live on a budget since I’m a college student.
I learned in a marketing class in college that a lot of the make up sold at counters are in drug stores but are in a different more cost effective packaging. So Lancome glosses are the same as L’Oreal (the company that owns them) but are priced much cheaper in drug stores.
My favorite brand is NYX cosmetics. It’s affordable and super pigmented! My staple look for class and work would be a nude/pinkish lip with warm colors for my eyelids , mascara , and blush. I try to keep my makeup to a minimum in the summer. It’s too hot outside!
I keep it simple. I make sure my face is well moisturized and use some light mineral powder to combat shine ( i have oily skin), a little blush on my cheeks (Black radiance plum sorbet), mascara (great lash by maybelline) and last my favorite moisturizer for my lips, Carmex lip balm. And that’s it.
My staple look is simple Necole. A nice eyebrow.lashes. And a bold lip.im still learning eyeliner…the pin up look is my fav.it focuses on the brows.lashes and a lip color…
My staple would have to be a bronze or gold eyeshadow by maybelline or covergirl.I use a liquid black liner to cover my lashes(I use strip lashes).I use clinique even better foundation in (ginger) I use mac (mineral bronzer) I am a makeup fiend so I try all brands and love trying to new products. I use mac cork lip liner.I use a vs concealer over my lips before using mac matte honey or jubilee with revealing to finish it off.
I find myself using a lot of Bobbi Brown products lately. My favorite has to be the concealer, it is the BOMB.COM it makes your make up pop! As far as the lipstick I stick with Mac, they have so many Colors that are so BOMB for a dark skin girl. I think one that everyone should try is Style Kurve it was limited edition but looks good on any color! Love the Post Necole!
I actaully jst decided on creating a staple look last nite cuz I was tired of pouring over my makeup bags every single day in search of what look to wear. Lol. So decided on a nice brow, lined eyes, mascara, sublte blush and loud mouth 😀 I love me my lipsticks. Hope it works out well for me. And of course, my powder. I have crazily oily skin (yet to find hg for caramel skin tho)
