‘Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready’
This is exactly what went through my head on July 4 as I was running out the door and spotted my mic flag sitting on a table. I had been invited to attend Nicki Minaj’s ‘Myx & Mingle Cruise’ and although it wasn’t established that I would get an interview, you never really know what can happen. So I grabbed the mic flag, threw it in my purse and made my way to the event.
Later that night, I was one of two outlets that was granted an interview with Nicki. E! News was the other.
Thank God I grabbed that mic flag.
